A visit from the Prime Minister
On Thursday the 6th of October, Smart Environmental had the pleasure of hosting Prime Minister- John Key at our Kopu site ( aka Smart Land) , based in the Thames Coromandel district. The material sorting facility at Kopu is one of the largest and most modern of its kind in New Zealand.
A function of the PMs trip was to visit local businesses whom are making a positive contributions to local economy. Being the largest privately owned waste and recycling business, and 100% NZ owned Smart Environmental make every effort to invest in local communities in which we operate.
Owner and managing Director of Smart Environmental, Grahame Christian is involved with a variety of economic development groups and this visit by John Key is a testamant to Grahames efforts to remain local and to create employment opportunities particularly in rural townships.
